It looks like the long awaited Reason 5 is about to be released very soon (late summer,)and here is a version to download !! and I for one can`t wait to see what the full released version can do..So,to cut straight to the chase,what we have here to download is the brand new version of Reason (Reason 5),in beta format.At the minute I can`t try it out (for various reasons I`m not going into),to give it a full report,but it all looks good and the file unzips to the exe just fine.
After reading a few reviews over the last few weeks,Reason 5 is packed with loads of new features and it is NOT (apparently),just another minor upgrade to 4,..If anyone wants to give it a go and do a little review,go for it,and put a few lines in the comments to help enlighten us..

The sounds of the XFER Sample pack will be featured on dance tracks for decades to come.

Xfer Records is a label started by Deadmau5 and his longtime friend and studio accomplice Steve Duda for their collaborations, such as BSOD, and WTF? with Tommy Lee and DJ Aero.
Their latest offering is not a music CD, but rather a sample pack for music producers, featuring a plethora of WAV loops and one-shots, ready to be loaded in to any popular music-making software.

An extensive amount of gear was used for the pack-including circuit-bent and analogue drum machines, vintage analogue synths such as Moog and Arp, original acoustic drums and other sounds recorded in various professional studios. A variety of digital sound sources were used as well for creating new sounds, such as FFT synthesis, additive/subtractive synthesis, even custom DSP routines coded by Steve Duda in C++.

Despite the large amount of sample CDs out there, we saw a niche for one geared towards building blocks of EDM with a twist - this one is royalty-free, so it can be used in original productions with no fear of legal repercussions from the original artists who often are sampled on other CD libraries, says Steve. We tried to make an assortment featuring a variety of sound sources, which aren't overproduced so they can fit into a production workflow without stamping their own flavor on a mix and being overly-recognizable.

One thing for certain, the sounds of the XFER Sample pack will be featured on dance tracks for decades to come.

Reason 4 from Propellerhead Software can best be described as an infinitely expandable studio - a native-based set of virtual devices that include synthesizers, sampler, drum machine, effects and a pattern sequencer. In short, the software acts as an expandable, all-in-one music production environment.

Each unit in the virtual rack is edited from its own front panel and multiple instances of all the modules can be opened, limited only by the host computer's processing capacity. Choosing an item from the "Create" menu places the module in the rack, logically patched into the signal chain. A single key-press will turn Reason's rack around to reveal patch points for every port on every module, allowing the user to make custom patch configurations.

New in version 4 is "thor", a multi-synthesis synthesizer with six oscillator types, four different filters, a step sequencer and a modulation matrix. RPG-8 is a monophonic arpeggiator with multiple play modes, an insert function and a pattern section. The addition of a 32-channel groove mixer allows users to affect the feel and timing of loops, which are output to the sequencer, which itself has been enhanced with multiple track lanes, vector automation, dedicated device tracks, clips, count-in and more.

The software can function either stand-alone, or as a ReWire application. Full Integration with other manufacturer's audio software via ReWire allows audio from Reason to be output to an external software workstation, for further processing and/or mixing with other audio tracks. When the overall project is ready to be saved, the whole studio setup is stored along with the music, including the associated sounds, samples, loops and drum kits.
